A toolbar, so you don't have to keep dragging down those slow menus to cut and paste and save files. As an added bonus, the Save button on the toolbar is greyed-out if you've saved recently.
A multi-document interface, so you can open up several text files in one instance of the program. This keeps your Taskbar from becomming cluttered with a bunch of open documents.
A file history list (makes it easy to re-open files you've used recently).
Auto-shortcut. Create an instant shortcut to the file you're currently editing.
